Orme Square

The unusual exploitation of the plot in the centre of London (Kensington) includes lowering the ground level below the existing Grade II listed building by 12 meters, with contiguous pile wall installation in the perimeter of the new spaces.

The existing residence is being drastically altered to suit the needs of the owner, with complete re-structuring of the lower ground floor, refurbishing the existing shell (facades, roof) and adding a new lift and staircase that will connect the house with the three new underground floors.

The new spaces include new kitchen and dining room, gym and swimming pool, utility rooms and a glazed walkway that views the new enclosed garden.

This project was part of my involvement in a civil & structural engineering consultancy.
